ROBERT FERRETTI
CONFINED
Feeling confined to a space sprouts a plethora of feelings, whether that's the human body experiencing a change in physical perception or mentally changing how one acts. Amidst the global pandemic, we have all experienced these new sprouted feelings physically and mentally, in our bedrooms, in our minds, and in society.
This collection takes these aspects and turns them into experimental physical garments. In each look the user experiences a change in what is seen by others, covering and revealing certain parts of themselves. The other aspect of these pieces involves what the user is feeling when wearing them. This is achieved through a range of ideas constructing tight robust looks feeling cramped into a space to a feeling of becoming too comfortable seen in lightweight soft structured looks.
LOOK 8: COMFORTER QUILT JACKET
EDITORIAL SHOTS
LOOK 8 JACKET DESCRIPTION:
Sustainably made, this jacket is upcycled from a quilted comforter. First draped, the shape of the jacket arrives from how a blanket normally will cover your body when put over your head for comfort. Plastic dotted lining is used throughout the whole piece as an accent to the patterned quilt providing breathability in the arms and warmth in the torso. The jacket fully zips up to remove yourself from the outside world providing serenity. Also can be worn casually by unzipping the jacket halfway, exposing your head.
